We are in love with our little tug. He tugs my heart strings (no pun intended)!!! The other day we started talking about all the nick names we have for him. I thought I would share them with y'all because we get a laugh out of them.

Young Womens

In August I got to go to girls camp with my young women. It was so fun!!! I put up a tent by MYSELF and I am very proud to say that it never collapsed. You can just call me an extreme camper from her on out.

Oh the joys of girls camp and the great outdoors. I have been so blessed to be in the young women's this past year. This calling has made me be a better person in so many ways. Heres a few pictures of our adventure....

Similar but different

Did you ever know that having a new puppy is like having a new child? I did not get this memo. Im not complaining here because I love to wake up and see him at 3, 5, and 6 A.M.. honestly I do but lets just say I am a little sleep deprived. The other night Tug and I had our usual wake up sessions. I woke up at 3 to his cry, got him out of his kennel, smiled because he is the best thing to wake up to, and took him out to the grass so he could do his business garments and all. We proceeded with this at 5 A.M. and then at 6 before I had to get ready for work.

At 6:15 I kissed Zach goodbye and relinquished the dog duties over to him. 6:30 A.M. I arrived at work, got my scrubs, and entered the bathroom to change. I looked down to change my shoes into my work crocs and here are the shoes I was wearing

These shoes and similar but different..... I think Im losing my mind.........

Finally!

Since I can remember Nursing has been my career of choice.

When I was little and a friend fell on their bike or rollerblades, I would be the first one there to clean their abrasion and bandage it.

When I see an accident on the side of the road I want to jump out of my car and help yes I am one of those people that will probably cause an accident because I get distracted by these and yes I do drive by if it is possible numerous times.

I finally was ready to apply for my dream career this semester.

I put everything I had into getting good grades and completing the application.

I have been waiting ONE WHOLE MONTH for the results

and yesterday my long wait finally came to an end.

Here is what they said.......

Congratulations! Your application for entrance to the Nursing program at BYU has been reviewed and the College of Nursing Acceptance Committee has voted to grant you acceptance to the program for Fall 2011.

Im SO excited and I cant wait to attend nursing school in the fall!

FINALS

This week I feel like the grinch when his sled is spinning out of control and he says, "Im going to throw up and then i'm going to die". Its FINALS week and here at our home we are stressed to the max. It is so nice that time is a constant thing though. No matter what I will be done Wednesday at 10 in the morning whether I like it or not. I might die from the stomach acid that I am constantly throwing up but hey ill be done either way. I should not be complaining because Zach has had it way worse this semester. The poor thing has lost 15 lbs. and lost a good portion of his hair due to stress. Can you tell this has been the worst semester our lives? I cannot wait until its over!!!

Im so excited to spend some more time with this guy!

The Girl With the Pen Between Her Toes

Yesterday while siting in class I looked to my left and noticed something disturbing but hilarious.

What did I see?

Take a look for yourself.

A girl in class with her shoes off and her pen conveniently placed in betwixt her toes.

She even decided to change positions after a while....

Since when was it acceptable to take your shoes off in public????

I see people with their shoes off in class ALL the time.

Am I the only person that thinks this is odd?

Moral of the story..... Do not ever ask to use someone else's pen. You never know where its been!

My Little Entrepreneur

I have never really known a true entrepreneur. That was until I met Zach! He is always coming up with ideas for a new business. Im not going to lie, sometimes I get annoyed hearing about a new one each day. However, I do also know that it is all he thinks about so I try to act interested. He is starting to pursue these ideas this semester and it has been so fun watching him. Some things he has been doing as of late.....

1. Making tents with his friend in our garage
2. Developing a new carwash software that his teacher is wanting him to patent and sell.
3. Website idea. He presented this at Venture Factory on Wednesday (picture below) and they loved the idea. They want him to keep going with it and they may even possible fund it!

I am so proud of Zach. He is such a smarty pants and I hope that one day I will be able to keep up with him!

Vegas Baby!

We went to Vegas with my parents to join my sister Emily and her family from California. I can't even tell you how much I miss them. It was so fun to see them. I am the youngest in my family and Emily is the closest sibling to me. We grew up together (kind of, considering we are 6 years apart) and I miss her so I jump at ever opportunity I get to see her. We shopped, ate, talked, and lounged at the pool. Sounds like my kind of vacation!!! Plus, no homework for 2 days and getting to finally see my husband.! It was incredible and on this snowy day I am wishing I was there.

Magic Juice

My sister Emily and I (and hopefully my sister Hannah, and brother's Hans and Brandon will jump on board) have decided to run the Utah Valley Marathon! I am so excited to get back into running. I miss the feeling of satisfaction after a long hard run.

It is hard to get into running, so I thought I would share the things that help me get into it. Maybe they could help you too.....

If you have not tried ZipFizz, then GO TRY IT!!! This stuff is magic and somehow makes it so you can run faster and longer. I do not like the taste so I would advise you to chug it as quickly as possible, unless you are like Emily and enjoy it. It is available at costco.

3. A good playlist to run to, especially one with Celine Dion on it, her songs pump me up more than anyone.

4. Zach along side me on roller blades cheering me on.
